Bikash Sinha

Environmental Consultant

Bikash has over 35 years of experience in developing and managing Environmentally Compliant Projects and Services, particularly Renewable Energy Projects. The combination of his expertise and wealth of knowledge is fueled by his deep-rooted passion for the emergence of truly sustainable developments in this region.

He is currently a Board member of the Malaysia Green Building Council (malaysiaGBC), an established member of the World Green Building Council (World), with members in 73 countries globally. The WorldGBC operates through five regions: Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and the Asia Pacific Network (APN). BK Sinha recently completed his two-year tenure as the Regional Vice Chair of the APN.

As a Project Manager in the construction industry, accounting for built environment accounts for 40 percent of all waste worldwide, he contributed to making sustainable buildings and infrastructure in Malaysia the norm rather than the exception. Amongst many other Projects, he is the innovator behind FatHopesEnergy (www.fathopesenergy.com), a leader in the region as a premier consolidator and processor of used organic fats, oils and grease to EN standard biodiesel.

His holistic experience and approach to all stakeholders’ inclusivity is his forte in all his projects. BK Sinha is also respected as a leader and mentor in many notable sustainable projects in Malaysia, Maldives, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Bikash holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering – from Delhi College of Engineering (Delhi University, India) and a Master’s in Advanced Energy and Environmental Science from – the University of East London, UK (in the final thesis stage).
