Anchoring Resilience: The Malaysian Maritime Experience
RAA Capital Partners was proud to take part in the recent Borneo International Maritime Week (BIMW) 2025, held in Bintulu, Sarawak.
"Malaysia's Role in Shaping the Next Generation of Maritime Logistics for Resilience and Competitiveness"
Rita Benoy Bushon (MD/RAA) delivered a paper titled “Malaysia’s Role in Shaping the Next Generation of Maritime Logistics for Resilience and Competitiveness”.
During the Port Forum, she shared how Malaysia is quietly yet confidently redefining maritime resilience, transforming geography into a strategic advantage. She highlighted that over 90% of world trade was by sea, and amid global disruptions and digital transitions, key ports such as Port Klang, Tanjung Pelepas, and Bintulu have demonstrated remarkable agility.
Rita emphasised that through strategic initiatives like the Malaysia Maritime Single Window, the Sarawak Port Master Plan, and Green Terminal Certification, Malaysia is building sustainable, long-term competitiveness. This growth is driven by a clear focus on “policy leadership, sustainability, technology, and people”.
RAA is energised by the collaborative spirit at BIMW 2025 and confident in this vision of adaptability, which is anchoring Malaysia as a beacon of resilience and maritime excellence for ASEAN and beyond.
